MEET OUR FOUNDER

Dr Veronica Damian

MVZ,MVS,MANZCVSc (Radiology)

Veronica studied a Bachelor in Veterinary Science at UNAM Mexico (Honours and University Medal) and a Master in Veterinary Studies (Radiology) at The University of MelbourneĀ NVE (2008).ā€‹ She is a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVSc Radiology) 2009, Australasian Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging since 2003 and American Colleage of Veterinary Radiology since 2003.

Veronica is the founder and director of Soundiagnosis, a Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound company for small animal practices in Melbourne Australia where she has trained all vets within the team. She has been performing Diagnostic Ultrasound since 2004 in Mexico City and since 2009 in Australia.

Veronica was head of the Radiology Department at the University (UNAM Cuautitlan) in Mexico and has taught many veterinary students and graduates how to perform ultrasounds. She also has given talks, seminars, webinars and workshops in Australia and overseas. Her bubbly personality and passion for Ultrasound will make you fall in love of this Diagnostic modality.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTOR

DrĀ Phoebe Nunn

BVSc

Phoebe studied a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne, graduating in the class of 2013. Initially starting in mixed practice, Phoebeā€™s love of Diagnostic Ultrasound was sparked during her on call work. When she shifted to a large small animal hospital, she continued to see the benefits and numerous applications of Diagnostic Ultrasound in daily general practice life.

Phoebe pursued her love of ultrasound by joining Soundiagnosis, a Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound company in 2018, where she continues to work to this day.

She also remains in general practice and is currently completing her International Veterinary Ultrasound Society Certification.

Phoebe is thrilled to be part of Sound Academy. She loves teaching and is passionate about developing the confidence in veterinarians that will allow use them to use ultrasound daily in small animal practice.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTOR

Dr Christine Baker

BVSc Hons GPCert (Cardio)

Christine completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2010 and since then has worked in a variety of small animal general practices in Queensland and Victoria.

Christine has always had a keen interest in internal medicine and began developing her skills in ultrasound while in general practice with theoretical and practical courses (including training from the Soundiagnosis Academy!) and self-directed study.

Christine continued to develop her skills in diagnostic ultrasound after joining Soundiagnosis in 2020. Since then she has developed a special interest in cardiology and echocardiography,Ā and achieved her General Practitioner certificate in Cardiology in 2024.

Christine is excited to share her knowledge and skills with vets through the Soundiagnosis Academy.
